Drawing from the history and craft of film photography, I use the analog process for its texture, depth, and distinctive character. As a Los Angeles editorial and film wedding photographer, I work with a hybrid approach, combining modern digital cameras with traditional film techniques. Vintage cameras and carefully selected film stocks allow me to create images that feel honest, tactile, and timeless.
Relating to approach, what I do is typically called "loose editorial" by the industry, which is essentially a 50/50 blend of documentary approach and editorial style.
All film is professionally processed and scanned at leading California film labs to ensure the highest level of quality, consistency, and archival longevity.

Jake
I'm so glad to meet you!
My name is Jake Fosmire, and I am a Los Angeles–based wedding and commercial photographer working with both film and digital formats. My background is rooted in a deep understanding of photography, from film processes to contemporary editorial imagery. This technical foundation informs every project I take on, whether documenting a wedding or creating polished visual work for brands and clients.
As a Los Angeles editorial and film wedding photographer, I focus on creating an experience that feels natural and collaborative. I work closely with each couple to understand their priorities and approach the day with intention. Rather than directing every moment, I document weddings as they unfold, capturing meaningful interactions, design details, and the atmosphere that defines the celebration.
Outside of weddings, I photograph commercial projects including editorial campaigns, red carpet events, and branded content. This work sharpens my eye for composition, timing, and storytelling, and directly influences the way I approach weddings. The result is photography that feels composed but honest, refined without feeling staged.
My goal is to create photographs that hold their value over time. Images that reflect the reality of the day, preserve the energy and emotion, and allow you to revisit the experience years later with clarity and perspective.
